Photodynamic therapy (PDT)

Photodynamic therapy (PDT) is a special treatment performed with a topical photosensitizing agent called Levulan® (5-aminolevulinic acid or ), which is activated with the correct wavelength of light. Levulan can be applied to the face, neck and chest before a photofacial treatment to enhance results and reduce the number of treatments needed.
